video capture of desktop? Can't Post

Is there a way to do a short video capture of a webpage or the desktop?

Snapz ProX does that. Do a search on Google for it. They have a free fully
operational trial download. I use it for creating tutorials for my classroom. I
capture the performance of a specific task (i.e. creating titles, importing music
from a CD, etc.), then bring that QuickTime clip into FCP and add voiceovers. I
keep an "Instructional Video's" folder on all the macs in the classroom for kids
to access.

I think Jeremey said it all. I use Snapz, and I like it.

I've been using Snapz Pro X for a couple of years now. Be warned that the new version has the old FCP hiccup. On occation, you'll have to trash the prefs. And be careful of aspect ratio and codec, as it is really easy to get bad looking video from Snapz into FCP. But once you find your personal balance, it does a fantastic job.

It'll even record audio for you at the same time.
