B-roll shots Can't Post

I just got a shoot assigned to me by a major producer, and they are asking for B-roll shots. I don't know what that means. Can anyone inform me? Thanks much. - Joe

"B-roll" are shots other than your primary image. For example, say you are shooting a lecturer. B-roll footage would be audience reaction shots, closeups of models or visual aids, long shots of the entire classroom, etc.

I have to ask you how you got a job with a "major producer" and you don't know what b-roll is?
