Have you got Hal's course yet? http://www.videouniversity.com/course.htm

Here's how I'd pitch it:

First, show a short demo. It should be as close as you can come in subject matter and approach to the proposed project, but that may not be possible; the main thing is to provide a sample of your work. Bring your own playback and projection equipment. Never count on someone else's stuff.

Second, walk the audience through the proposed video by use of storyboards. Ask for questions or comments.

Third, ask for buy-in: "Well, gentlemen, what do you think? Will this approach meet your needs?"

Fourth, show 'em the numbers.

Fifth, ask for a decision. You probably won't get one, but you may at least get a commitment on when they will get back to you with a decision.

Re: [NelsonDF] CORPORATE VIDEO PROPOSAL WANTED [In reply to] Can't Post

I think you need to be a little more specific -- your post was a little confusing to me.
Is this a client who is trying to sell a now closed plant to another company for similar operations?
Is you client the owner of the building or a commercial realtor.
(If it's the owner of the building, you need to be working with a realtor who specializes in this type of property)
I'm presuming you are looking to showcase the area for prospects not familiar with it -- neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers, recreation as well as proximity to transportation and other companies who might be either potential suppliers or customers of a new occupant. (You should touch base the local Chamber of Commerce for this.)
As I missing the intent here?
