Cable Shows Can't Post

Does anyone know of or where to find information on how profitable different cable shows are?

We have a local cable show, Real Estate Show to be exact, the shows aren't in themselves real profitable, but they do ensue a LOT of hard work and pleasing a whole lot of people.
I would personally go to your local cable company first and ask they can point you to anyone that is providing them with a show and go talk to them personally.
For our company the show just leads us into other profitable business in our community.
Hope that was some help

Thank Leea.
I was looking more specifically along the lines of the shows with a lot of product placement, like Hot Rod TV, fishing shows, cooking shows etc.

Scott,
My company is on a similar quest. We are currently putting together a cable TV program with the same idea. Make the money off of the product placement and sponsorships. Generally speaking, get as many sponsors as you can (usually acheived by producing a pilot to show them) and try to get as much of a regional spread as you can afford/get sponsors to pay for. Definitely talk to your cable provider and see what the rates are and how the regions work, that would be your best place to start.

This is likely to be analigus to the neilson ratings or cable ratings, do they have a nielson cable ratings, I think they are all bunched together. At any rate you can figure that if they are popular that they are selling a lLOT of advertising. Thats what makes them money I assume.
