I went from nuclear power plant operations on a 688i to being back in college (at 27 yrs old now) studying business management & entrepreneurship. I love film and video production and invested this summer taking only television/film/studio production classes to incorporate a solid foundation for my entrepreneurial venture into the video production industry. I just recently finished directing and producing a student film final project, which has given me the motivation and skills to continue my quest to create a career for myself that I'll love and enjoy. It's not easy, and finances are always tight while in school, but with some proper planning, a slight change of lifestyle (I went from making 50k to 2.4k per year--yes, that's how bad I want it), and having faith in the educational system, you can make it through. Plus, as a student, you get those awesome education discounts on just about everything--I used mine to purchase the Adobe Video Collection Pro 2.0 for a mere $760--a pretty incredible deal considering what you get! I've been using these forums for about two years now to research the markets, understand the industry, along with learning a WHOLE lot about what others do to create a successful business. The internet and the continual drop in price for prosumer equipment and software have revolutionized the video industry and created a market where those with creative abilities can now expand their horizons and express their ideas without paying tens of thousands of dollars. Oh yeah, "What Color is Your Parachute?" by Richard N. Boles is an excellent book/guide for changing careers. Hope this helps. Good luck, Jeff
