Cash prize legal issues	Can't Post

Are there any legal issues I need to be aware of if I am producing a tv game show of sorts, where a small cash prize is given to the winner? Thanks for any info you can provide!!!

There are very definite state laws on contests. Don't assume anything.
You can probably do some of the research yourself to learn what's
permissible and what's not. But if are producing a TV show you
will eventually *need to consult an entertainment attorney.

I did extensive research into this a few years back and succeeded in getting a ruling that it was leagal for me to advertise
casino gambling on 'leased access' prior to a district U.S. court
later making this leagal for licensed broadcasters and others.
Point is I did a lot of research into contests, etc. and there is substantive material available to support
you only need to be careful that you do not create a 'lottery' and that any promises be fullfilled.
