A phone call is more immediate and personal. Like this: "Becky's Bridal...can I help you?" "Hi, Ms. Becky. My name is Videobear, with Panda Productions. I'd like to tell you a little bit about the services we offer. Do you have a couple of minutes?" (This last is important. You're asking for her time. If she says "no", then ask what would be a good time to call her back. Or ask if you could meet for lunch.) "Sure, Videobear. Tell me all about it". Here's where you pitch yourself and your company. When she asks, "What's in it for me if I recommend you?", you say,"Well, I provide links on my website to all the vendors I've worked with who provide, like yourself, top quality services. And if you recommend us to your clients, you'll be boosting your own reputation, because our satisfaction rate is 99.8%. I'll be more than happy to send you a few of our demo discs that you can pass on to your clients." In your package of demo disks, include a nice cover letter: "Dear Ms. Becky, "It was such a pleasure to speak with you the other day. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to explain our video production services. I'm enclosing X copies of our current demo. After you have a chance to view it, please feel free to give me a call and let me know what you think. I'm also enclosing X copies of our current price list. Please pass both of these on to any of your clients. For those who don't express an interest in a wedding video, I'm sending you a few copies of testimonials from our clients, many of whom didn't realize how important their video would be to them until AFTER the wedding! "Please don't hesitate to call me if I can answer any questions for you. I look forward to working with you in making your clients' weddings special and memorable occasions." "Sincerely, Videobear Panda Productions "encl: demos, price sheets, testimonials"
