Found the case, now where's the FOAM?? Can't Post

Hi, After reading a post here, I went to Home Depot and founf the hard shell case perfect for my Trv900 and it only cost $16.00!! Compare this to what they charge from a video place. Anyway, now I need to find the foam to fit inside (they didn't sell it there). I want either black or blue colored foam, thicker for the bottom and eggshell type for the top of the lid. Does anyone know where I can find this? Thanks, Eric

You can buy foam from Markertek, http://www.markertek.com
You may also want to consider using something like spray-in insulation foam to make a custom-fitted interior for your gear.

Doug,
have you done that?
I have an old wheeled camera case sitting in the garage, and had been thinking along those lines in order
to make a case from my teleprompting system.
any tips?

: Doug,
: have you done that?
What, the expanding foam trick? No, but I've seen cases that other folks have done that way. You have to wrap the gear in plastic, and I imagine getting just the right amount of foam is tricky.
So far, I've just used foam blocks. My first case used "pluck apart" foam, but I no longer like it. It tears too easily.

: Thanks for the advice. I found the blocks on the website. Are they good for protection?
I will probably be ordering them this week. Thanks again,
Eric
