Freelance Rates? Can't Post

I've been approached by a videography company to do some freelance shooting. I'm interested in finding out what are considered reasonable per-hour rates for this type of work. This is shooting only (no editing). Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Freelance Rates? Can't Post

Hi Alanm-
You don't mention where you are from, but the going rate in the Houston area is from
$250 to $600 a day (for video). $250 is a rock bottom price for beginners, and $600 is claimed
by some....but how much do they actually work at that rate? Best of luck in your area.
