Re: How do you do video depositions?

: I want to expand my business to cover video depositions. I have no clue on how to start. Help? Jose, You need to research the legal requirements for depositions in your state. Most likely, you will need the ability to burn time and date into your original tape so that it is displayed on playback. In most cases, editing is not allowed. You may have to be present in the courtroom, to play the tape and to fast-forward past any parts the judge decides are inadmissable. One place to go for more information is the National Court Reporters Association. They have a certification program for legal video, but it is geared toward court reporters with no video knowledge, rather than videographers with no legal knowledge. It's also pretty pricey.
