Is it really possible?? Can't Post

Hi, a question for debate please. I am in the process of setting up a music video production company and am not sure which route to take. I need the 16mm effect in the music vids, like MTV etc, however these videos will only be played on Kiss, MTV not for big screen. I have full access to all sorts of DV equipment including top range video editing facilities for DV. I have read many places that it is now possible to recreate 16mm using DV and filters, teqniques etc.
Is this true???
If this is really possible then it would save me having to create a full 16mm production suite and keep all my excisting DV stuff..
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks...
