Local Programing Can't Post

My company is developing two local television programs and I was wondering
what kind of contract to use with our sponsers, for example, do you charge by
the 30 second comercial or do you charge a product placement rate. I would
apreciate any advice Thanks!

Re: Local Programing Can't Post

If your company is buying out the half hour or hour from the telvision station, (the same way that infomercials are)then you can sell 30 second spots. You can also charge for product placements etc. Hope that helps.

I am assuming that you are buying time from a station/cable company. If so, you can pretty much do anything you want. Try both, and see what people are willing to do. You can have 30 sec spots, product placement, and even specific sponsorship of segments (much like how the news will put sponsors on a weather map). Also, make sure you check the local cable companies/ If they have their own station (not public access), you can get great times at great prices ($200 per half hour here).
