Need a web site Can't Post

I'm just starting out and need a web site. Any ideas how I can put together a web site on a small budget? The site needs to be able to show Quicktime sample videos. I can't aford to pay out big bucks since I'm just starting. I'm in the San Diego area.

Re: Video tape to CD [In reply to] Can't Post

First off remember copyright laws.
I just purchased the Terapin cd recorder. This captures mpeg1 quality.
You can view the video cd's using the windows media player and in newer dvd players.
Drawback is you are limited to 70 minutes per cd. This unit cost $599.00. You can get more info at goterapin.com.
Email me it you have any questions.

or check ebay under "VCD recorder" There are alot of them New in Box for $250-$400 It's a good bet they are all made in Asia by 1 or two company(s). Remember Asia is the pirated VCD capital of the world so they know there stuff by default! I have the Terapin and it works great! (for converting homevideo, that is)

What do you consider small budget? There are alot of ways to approach this, it just depends on the amount you have to spend.

I'm no professional, but I've done my share of work. Check out link for small portfolio, sorry it's hosted on Geocities, my current host is switching servers. I can do the whole site for say, $50?

Re: Need a web site [In reply to] Can't Post

1. get a real domain. seriously. (i.e. www.yourdomainnamehere.com, .biz, .net, etc.)
2. It projects a professional image to your potential clients.
more so than www.whatevercity.com/yourdomainnamehere.
I would be happy to answer any other questions you have.

Re: Need a web site [In reply to] Can't Post

Also, no offense intended to anyone, but...
don't pay someone to build a website for you that will be built
with a free site builder..(i.e. geocities, etc..)YOU CAN DO THIS YOURSELF FOR FREE.
Take the time (it doesnt take long)to learn how to use it and
do it yourself if you are going to go that direction...
