Check with the actual Channel you intend to use. There's a fairly complete
list at
http://www.world.std.com/~rghm/alpha.htm
Each one will have their own requirements. Some are pretty
informal and if you build some trust with the people who
manage the station, they can be very helpful.

Hal, I'm getting stonewalled by our local cable provider. They don't want to provide access to their channel. Is that the end of the road for me, or are there any legal requirements to make this channel available to the public.

thanks,
George

George,
I don't know the legalities.
I would suggest you look for exiting
public Access Channels in adjoinging
areas if necessary. Good luck and let us know
how you do.
Best
Hal

These cable companies can be real *icks, You can nail their butts
to the wall and cause them all kinds of flack if they dont abide by
the legeslation set forth by the FCC and Congress.
They try all kinds of sneaky shhhit to keep you out of the loop, but if
you stand on them and file a complaint they fold real easy!
If you call me at 407 383-7858 I will be glad to tell you everything
that you need to do from A to Z.
I will also tell you how to approach it from the diplomatic aspect
first, and if that does'nt work, then you can pin them to the matt.
