Selling, warehousing.... and all that stuff... Can't Post

Where or how do you sell LARGE amounts of videos....?

Is there a company that can warehouse, sell/ship orders?

I've been asked to get together information on selling training videos for a National Wrestling Coaches Association. I don't think that I will be able to keep up with the selling & shipping of the videos. Is there a company that can receive & ship the orders?

Thanks
Mike R.

Call some of the larger duplication houses in the country and ask them. Discmakers or Wholesale Tape and Supply (www.wts-tape.com) may have some answers for you.

I also believe you can send a certain quantity to Amazon.com and they will handle it for you. You should be able to find the contact information on their website as well.

How many videos are we talking here? Is it possible that you could handle the orders with the proper planning and set-up? Setting up an order web page with Pay Pal as your cc processor doesn't take too terribly long to do and hiring a part-timer to package the DVDs and make a run to the post office once a week won't cost you much either. Think about the revenue potential for you before totally giving it away to another vendor. It's not glamorous work but if you could make a few dollars on every transaction for your "handling" fee, it could amount to thousands of dollars for just a little bit of work on your part.

Just a thought!

There are quite a few options for doing this, but keep in mind that Amazon takes quite a large cut. Look at:

CustomFlix.com (now called createspace.com)
Filmbaby.com

for a couple examples

In addition there are fulfillment companies that do nothing but handle orders and shipping for others. But your sales volume may not be large enough to justify that yet.

In addition, you may want to make a deal for downloadable sales see:

revver.com
metacafe.com
brightcove.com

My book Secrets of Producing And Selling Successful Videos

http://www.videouniversity.com/sivbook.shtml

covers all of this and more in detail. For $20 bucks, it is a wise investment if I say so myself.Wink

Call me if you want more info. No cost or obligation.

amazon is actually more geared for smaller numbers...you only have to send them 2 copies, and they take 55%

it may seem like a lot for them to take, but 45% of a sale you probably wouldn't have made it still pretty good.

just google DVD replication
