Special interest video site Can't Post

Hi all,

I am putting together a business plan for a special interest video web site. The idea is to give independent producers of special interest videos a place to sell their product. I'd appreciate any feedback or comments on the idea.

Thanks,
Paul

There's a bunch of these out there, so the key is how will you differentiate yourself? I think advertising will be key. If you dont know how, use a great web developer that can make sure your site appears at the top of the most common searches. How will you get other traffic to your site - web ads, print ads, radio or tv spots. Look at the terms of the other sites out there, and decide what would make a videogrpaher sell his tape on your site? And think about what you want quality or mass - will you take work from anybody or do you need to check it first? Will you just send orders to the individual producers for commission or are you going to handle the duplication? Maybe you can setup either a password protected page, other site, or print material to give to producers who contact you to help them produce these videos.
