If you approach them professionally, most companies will not only give you permission, Craig, but you'll also find that you can obtain free equipment or software from them to feature in your Special Interest Video. It varies from company to company, of course, but remember -your inclusion of their product or service in your program is pretty much free advertising for them. Put together a good request letter, telling them what you're going to be doing, how (briefly) you'll do it, your qualifications, and explain how you're going to promote your SIV, along with some sales projections (be realistic, here!) I think there's an article I wrote on common mistakes SIV producers make here on Video U. Worth reading if you're thinking about makin' your own. Good luck! Steve
