Take a look at my Rate Card for Duplication..Tell me what you think Can't Post

Hi everyone. If you have the time and you don't mind, would you scan your eyes over my DVD Duplication rate card below. It's the "first draft" and yes it took lots of time, pain and sweat but I got there. Pat on the back for me.

I'd be very interested to hear what you think -- all 16,000+ of you. I went to the trouble of going to xe.com (a currency converter) and putting the dollar value beside the Euro rate. So the Euro is on the left, dollar on the right. If it's p'ing you off that i didn't round off the figures, someone say so and I'll round them off for you.

Seriously, any feedback would be great. And I'd be interested in seeing YOUR rate cards here or PM me. Thanks.

DVD DUPLICATION RATES

Quantity Basic Packaging Customised Packaging
1 20.00 / $24.48 25.00 / $30.60
2-10 15.00 / $18.35 20.00 / $24.48
11-25 14.50 / $17.75 19.50 / $23.87
26-50 14.00 / $17.13 19.00 / $23.25
51-100 13.00 / $15.90 18.00 / $22.00
101-300 6.00 / $7.34 9.00 / $11.00
301-500 4.00 / $4.90 5.25 / $6.42
501-1000 2.50 / $3.06 3.00 / $3.67
1000+ CALL FOR QUOTE HUGE DISCOUNTS FOR BULK ORDERS!!

By the way, basic packaging is just a cardboard or plastic see-through sleeve and a printed sticker on the Disc.
customised packaging includes the case, insert, disc sticker (with text and images and nice design etc).

I will charge more per copy of Wedding DVD, this is just for Duplications and Corporate Dupes.

I'm doing a car show in November for a car mag (got word today!) and they want 35,000 copies. A copy of the DVD goes out free with the magazine the following month to all 35,000+subscribers. Got a quote today for a little over 10-grand total dupe. that's 31cent per DVD, excluding see-through plastic sleeve. Just thought i'd share - wot do you think of that quote?

i'm sorry. i can't change it. maybe if you copy and paste into a word document and a few pushes of your tab button should sort it out.

If I am reading your rates correctly, you are charging around 25 US dollars to dupe one DVD, and between 18 and 20 bucks each for 11 DVDs...

I don't know the economy where you are, but I doubt I'd ever get the first order in my store at those rates. I charge $10 for one, $7.50 for 2-10 copies, and $5 each for 11-50. The rates continue to drop as the quantity goes up.

Those rates include a slimline jewel case. A full sleeve DVD case with color insert is available at about a buck and a half if desired.

And I don't use stickers to label DVDs. There are occasion issues with that, including difficulty with some DVD players not being able to play a DVD with a sticker label.

And then there is the issue of professsional appearance. I mean, just how professional does it look to have a DVD with a sticker for a label? Instead, if you cannot afford a thermal printer that prints directly onto the disc, get an inkjet printer, and then seal the print side to prevent the ink from smearing by spraying with a clear sealer. (just be SURE you only spray the label side!!)

Now, if you are talking about extra copies of a wedding or event that you produced, that is different! I charge $25 US for additional wedding copies.

But for a person to bring me a copy of his non- commercially produced DVD and get a stack of dupes, those are my rates.

Hope this helps!

Neither do I.

I've now changed my rates to be more realistic and...forgiving is the word.

Thanks, it sure did help. I agree on the wedding DVD/video price thing you were talking about.
