Talent releases for a concert shoot? Can't Post

Hello all, quick question. We are currently working with a band who wants to have one of their shows videotaped and a local club. The problem we're not sure about is, the band wants shots of the audience and the people cheering along. Do we need to have each and every person sign a talent release form when they enter the club? Most of them will be under 18, so that would throw the form right out the window. Is there any condition that says since they are going to a recorded event, they waive their rights to be videotaped or something along those lines? If I'm way off on any of this, then what is the proper way to record a concert?
Any help would be great. Thank you in advance!

Re: Talent releases for a concert shoot? Can't Post

You'll get a lot of different answers on this one. We shoot a lot of music videos and we have everyone that potentially will be on camera sign a release including the performers. In the case of minors our release form has a provision requiring the signature of a parent or legal guardian. This is how we choose to cover our butts. I have heard of some production companies posting large signs at the entrances, making annoucments or having people walk past the camera and film their release but we prefer to have it in writing, with a signature and on file.
