Trade Publications Can't Post

I'm looking for magazines and any other trade publications on video production. Basically, I'd like a publication about both the creative and business side of video production. I'm especially interested in SIV.

I curretly subscribe to Videomaker and DV. I also recently subscribed to Entrepreneur for more business tips.

What are in your periodical arsonary?

I think that word should either be "arsenal" or "armory"..."arsonary" sounds like an adjective denoting arson-like behavior. Smile

But etymology aside, I like the magazines you mentioned. I also get Videography, Government Video, and eMedia. That last one is a fairly new magazine, mostly covering post production. It's recently begun carrying a separate "mini-magazine" section devoted to the production side of things, called "EventDV".

Another good mag for technical info is Video Systems.

Although he doesn't have a monthly publication, Steve Yankee has a great subscription website devoted to the business aspects of video, at http://www.videobusinessadvisor.com Steve also sells a number of useful reports and other products.

LOL....Yeah, I should read my posts a little more carefully. Oh well.

Thanks for the info. I checked out videobusinessadvisor. It looks like a really good site. I didn't subscribe yet, but I did order a couple of products from him. I'm looking forward to seeing them. I'll probbably end up joining for a month to see what he has to offer members.

I also subscribed to EventDV and trying to track down a copy of Videography at the office.

Do you or anybody else know of a website or magazine that is focused on the SIV or educational video market?

I just put up a list on one of my sites of video related publications. Look under the LINKS menu. Enjoy.
