WEVA Insurance Question Can't Post

Hi

I was thinking of joining Weva. And was interested in there group insurance for Equipment & General Liability. Their website states you can get a low cost group rate.

But was wondering if anyone knows the cost of it per year. And is it any good?

Thanks.

Rob

Re: [TheVEE] WEVA Insurance Question [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Rob,

My company, inFocus Video Productions in So Cal has insurance through WEVA. The first year we paid $500 for what I think was some good coverage and liability insurance. This year, the company merged with Travelers and our premium went to $750. We were told that this is the lowest premium the newly merged company has for our area. We are still working with the agent to try to lower the cost. Hope that helps.

I won't comment on either the cost or the quality. They may be great, or not...I dunno. However, there are alternate sources of insurance that you can use to get some comparative rates and coverages. R.V. Nuccio is one firm that's been mentioned several times in the forums.

Do a Search on "insurance" here and in the Weddings forum. You'll find plenty of opinions.

You can also do a Web search on "inland marine insurance", which is the strange name given to the type of coverage you're looking for. Or "photographer insurance" should also produce some results.
