I'm looking at buying either the Canon XL-1 and JVC DV-500. I am doing my own evaluation but would like feedback on quality, ease of use, etc. Thanks for whatever you can provide me.

I had the same decision to make a year ago. I chose the DV500, and have been very happy with the camera.
