copyrights Can't Post

Hi.
I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this question, but it is the only one I know of and maybe you can help me. I am creating my own website and I need to know how I copyright it? I also have a line of creative photos that I want to put out, but I wont do it until I have them copyright, please can you tell me how to go about this? Can someone give me some information such as phone number or link that I can go to.
Thank you.
D

Re: copyrights Can't Post

Try the link below, to the U.S. Government Copyright Office.
In general, you don't have to REGISTER your work. Any original work you create is automatically copyrighted. You can even use the "copyrighted" symbol.
However, registration is useful if you later have to prove in court that YOU were the originator of the work.
Practical matters: Anything on the Web can be easily copied and used by others. Many people assume they have the right to do so. I recommend a copyright notice on your website, and a watermark on your photos. Also, use lower-resolution versions of your photos on your site.

Doug Graham

Thanks Doug!
This is what I needed.
About the watermark on the photos, how does that work? I know they have watermark in photoshop, that can be used, but someone mentioned that it can be registered through photoshop. Is this so, and how does it work?
Thanks again!
