looking for tips..... Can't Post

Greetings,

I have recently been promoted in my company to director of video production.. and business is really starting to pick up with some jobs that we have done for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. My company (more of a graphic design firm then anything) is really ready to start working with me in the development of the video production aspect of our business.
So I was looking for some tips and help concerning some issues here at our facility.
1. BetaSP. Right now we have a BetacamSP deck (BVW-75) that we are renting. I think the company is getting hosed on the deal as they are paying $800/ mo.. and they've been for about 4 years.. and we are not renting to own. Does anyone have any tips on where I might be able to rent one cheaper or at least have the option of owning it after awhile? (we are in New York City) Perhaps purchase a used one?
2. Digital Beta - We do not own a Digi-Beta deck... so when we do work involving digi-beta we always have to have it converted.... does anyone have any tips that we would be able to rent a digi-beta deck like our BetacamSP deck? Perhaps purchase a used one?
3. Microphones and Sound booths - we do a lot of voice over work.. for several different kinds of projects... but we do not have a soundproof room or a good mic. Could someone recommend to me a good microphone to have in house for voice-over work that would be used a lot on corporate videos as well as CD-ROMS and the like. Also.. is there a "phonebooth" type sound proof booth that I could get? any recommendations? What about soundproofing an exsisting room- what does that entail?
4. We are looking to get a larger monitor (for when clients come in.... etc) any recommendations?

Thank you in advance for any input, your help is greatly appreciatted,
Joel Peterson
