quickbooks and business software. Can't Post

Anyone use quickbooks for their business, and do you like it? If not, what do you recommend?

I've never used Quick Books. I have one of their old free trial versions, but never did get around to trying it. :-)
I use Star Office. It's compatible with MS Office, but a LOT cheaper. (and I like how it works better)

Yes- i've used it for 8 years and like it quite a bit. The basic version isn't
too badly priced, and you can always upgrade later. The only drawback
I don't like is that they require that you subscribe (more money)
to there payroll services for tax updates. Not a problem if you
don't have employess, but something that kind of irks me.
Otherwise, a very easy, user-freindly and very complete accounting
software.

We've used Quickbooks for years and it's so simple that even *I* can use it!
One good reason for using it in daily operations is at the end of the year,
I simply make a backup copy of all the files and hand the disk over to our
accounting firm. Because they don't have to spend hours and hours (at $95 per)
entering, then balancing all our numbers as they would with a 'paper' system,
our tax form preparation bills are significantly lower.
