reality tv show Can't Post

I'm discussing creating a tv program. It will be a reality type show following a certain individual around. He mentioned he'd like to split the profits we make from the show with me 50/50. Obvious THAT isn't an option. What is the typical type situation here? Do production companies pay Ashley Simpson or Ozzy Ozzbourne or do they split profits?

What kind of contract would I need to have the talent sign?

Thanks.

If you are dealing with a show that will produce the large amounts of money that it sounds like it will, then I highly suggest paying a lawyer to draw something up!

the bottom line is you need to have an entertainment atty draw up your contract.
Viacom pays the parties you mentioned per their contract. Has nothing to do with production companies on either show as MTV handles the production, post and media purchases for the shows. They do hire freelancers but thats as far as it goes.
I can't stress enough that you need to have a lawer walk you through the pitch.
I promise you, the person who sent a pilot and and idea to Sharon Osbourne got nada.
Well, I got to warn you.
