selling movie rights Can't Post

Recently the TODAY show aired a special about me...I have been contacted by a free-lance producer in LA who is trying to pitch my story to Disney to make a movie. I know that most stories to which the rights have been sold never do make it on a big screen. I wonder though, what kind of figures would I expect from a company like Disney to produce a "big screen" movie? I will certainly consult an Entertainment Lawyer before negotiating. I'm curious as to how much money movie rights typically go for...$50,000? $100,000? more? am I way off?
