I live in ny state and have been pursued to shoot an adult film!
The Producer is paying top $ for me to shoot the video only!
I have been shooting commercials and weddings for the past 7 years.
I am in need of some cash because business is a little slow.
What I am looking for is some advice on this and what I need to find out about the law in ny about shooting.
If anyone can help me please chime in!

Hi Hook,
Although I dont know about NY, in CA. you can get arrested for shooting Adult.
Also if you have a good name in your current business you might want to think twice about taking on this type of business.
I get offers and Look, i'm not Sister Theresa's brother but for as long as
i have been in the business I would not jepordize my reputation on adult.
It's really not worth it in the long run.
Maybe a little creative marketing for your business might get you some potentials.
Go to city functions and business mixers, it works for me.

penetration and pop shots are illegal. Also, shooting for some dude wanting porn from someone with little experience means you probaly wont get paid. get it up front then don't use your name in the credits.

Don't waste your reputation on this type of work - it is not worth it.
Spend time updating your marketing and going out on sales calls etc.

Don't listen to popular opinion. Shooting porn isn't a bad thing nor is it illegal. Make sure you document the age of your actors and keep the records (this is the biggest government pet peve.) Also get advice from a entertainment lawyer. Pay for the STD tests and keep a record. Never use your real name nor the name of your existig business. But create a LLC production company for this shoot. Don't let people discourage you, this is a business. Some people get screwed by it and others thrive. You have to be deliberate and objective. make sure that you document and file ages and make sure that
there are no prostitutes involved male ore female
but i dont see a problem have you considered talking
to the local comerce for zoning. o well if you find
anything let me know ive conciderd doing the same and i always
found dead ends but they shoot alot of porn in nyc
so it must be leagle well good luck

Sheesh! We have "opinions" all over. Hook is right - it is a biz like any other.
BTW.. Who says it is "illegal" to shoot penetration?? If that's the law there, ya gotta think of escaping!
