video lead-in??? Can't Post

Someone please tell me ... what is the name of the logo/title that identifies the production company on movies? For example, LionsGate, Sony Pictures, etc. all have their intro sequences to each of their movies. What is that sequence called?

I'm trying to get one made for my company but do not know how to ask without giving a long, drawn-out explanation. Thanks all ...

I think you mean the "opening credits". I've sometimes seen it called the "main title sequence", too.

Thanks. I need to have this created for the opening to my wedding DVDs, and it seems like something I should be able to do myself. But I want a good graphic design, which I am no expert at. Any suggestions?

Header, Stinger, whatever you want to call it..:)

You could always find a logo designer on the web who will give you the final logo in a .PSD or .AI file in layers and then just take it into After Effects and animate the layers any which way you like..
