The N Y Times did one of it's quicky interviews with Albert Mayles, the 78 year old "legendary" film maker who, with his brother, "played important roles in the development of cinema verité documentary-making by designing highly portable cameras and sound equipment that allowed them to record events with minimal intrusion." Listed under "newest gadget" in the interview is: Newest gadget: My Sony PD170 video camera. Last year, I switched from film to video. The major reason is that an hour of film costs a few thousand dollars, whereas an hour of video costs $5. http://www.nytimes.com/...azine/17DOMAINS.html Rick Spilman Meridian Multimedia www.meridianmultimedia.com
