Yes, and somewhat dissapointed (probably should not be for the $).
It may increase the overall zoom from 10 to 14x ok, but pushing the zoom more than 3/4 causes a soft focus. Also prevents zooming in for close ups.

How about Sony's VCL-1452H 1.4x [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks alot Mike,
I was afraid of something like that. I just didn't want to spend $600+ for a century lens. Question...Did the VCL-R2052 work with the digital zoom or just the optical? Also do you or does anyone else know anything about sony's VCL-1452H 1.4x? It costs about double the latter.

I have the digital zoom disabled, any zooming beyond optical is done is post.
