Auto lock/Release/ Hold Can't Post

As a new user, I'm a little confused......I know that I make the manual changes in Auto lock release mode. Do I then shoot in the release mode? Or shoot in the Hold Mode? Or make the changes,
and shoot in the Auto Lock Mode?.... How does this work?
Thanks in Advance.......Dan.......

Make manual adjustments in the center position, then lock those settings by switching to the "hold" mode. You can shoot in either.
