Can a tape recorded on a Panasonic DV camcorder be played on a Sony VX2000? Can't Post

I am working on a project and the client is recording on a Panasonic DV camcorder and I use a VX2000 to input into my mac. Is the Panasonic compatible for playback on the vx2000?
Thanks,
Kevin

I would keep track of whether you have used the same types (brands) of tapes in the Sony as well, as the tape lubricant may be different. Not bad on a limited level, but you don't want to mix too much.
