Century Optics DS1609SB Can't Post

Anyone have any cautions about using the Century anamorphic on the VX2100?

Thanks

Traced article and very helpful. Am concerned about the number of clients now using LCd and plasma screens to view our VX2100 4:3 images and commenting on the resolution. Hope the the Century lens will help out.

Not alot apart from:-Unsure

" Why is picture so fuzzy?"

"Can't we get to streach image to widescreen?"

"Should we have asked you to film in widescreen?"

I shot hundreds of weddings using the VX2000 in "wide mode" with only one complaint, from a bargain bride with one of those HUGE cheap POS Rent-a-Center 16:9 projection TV's, a long time ago. One MOB with an expensive 16:9 HD tube TV and "upconverting" DVD players commented on how great the picture was.

I never bothered with one of the expensive Century adapters. From what I've read, it didn't seem like they'd be very good for run-n-gun stuff at all. And the difference in quality probably wouldn't be worth the $$ for making wedding videos like I do, in my opinion. Shooting with a native 16:9 HDV FX1 was nice...the SD DVD's were better looking, which is why I bought it. Better enough to justify is as a legit business expense for weddings? Not really. But I've always liked widescreen as a personal preference.

Good luck!
