Check my short film Can't Post

Hey, here is a link to a short film a I made with a couple of friends. We only had 15 hours to produce the whole thing, as it was for the 15/15 film comp. I used a sony vx1000 (PAL) to film it. Enjoy and please let me know what you think, thanks. File size is 15.70 MB, 2mins 19secs in length

FYI, this is probably not the most relevant forum for your post. Smile

The short was interesting, I thought the concept was creative and it captured my attention. That's what matters. A part of me wants to critique the camera work, acting, etc....but it doesn't really matter. The point is, you created a concept, and executed it. You made a film. And I applaud that.

thanks for having a look. In future I'll be sure to stick to the correct forums, but anyway...

I'm glad you picked aspects of the film that you think needed improvement, ie. camera work. Please let me know where I went wrong is this area, and how you think I could have filmed it in a better, or more suitable manner. thanks again

Hmmm...just got to it. And actually, I liked it quite a bit. As was mentioned, it followed a story line and it kept me interested. As far as camera shots go, I understand that some were shakey because of hand-held shots, but it didn't really bother me.

From my point of view it was a fun, entertaining short film.

Re: [vx1k_Alex] Check my short film [In reply to] Can't Post

dude, my girl doing visual communication said she`s inspired with ur work..good work...but i notice that when i enlarge the movie, the pixels start to broken (square). Wat`s ur comp setup to process the video? Im running pentium III 700MHz, shitty video card and 320+ RAM in my laptop to do view editting...some are ok, some got broken pixels especially when using MGI capturer (cheap one), but when using pinnacle moviebox usb, thing gets a bit better. Wat is the main reason behind this broken pixel? capture device? RAM? Processor? I guess processor only affects the time in processing and capturer plays the most important one...I guess =)

Thanks for looking at it Teq, haha I'm glad your girl liked it. I believe the footage becomes pixelated due to the compression, the full quality version is absolutely fine, no pixel problems whatsoever.
