Consideration, VX-2000 or XL-1 Can't Post

Hi, everyone,
I'm about to buy a DV camera for semi-professional use. My budget brings up the choice (I think) between the VX 2000 and the good old Canon XL-1. I've worked with VX 1000's a lot, and a little with the XL-1. I've had little experience with the VX-2000, but know it's features.
I like the XL-1, and it's image quality seems a little less noisy in certain situations than the VX1000. I would think since the VX2000 is basically a lot newer technology, that the quality of the CCD's might supersede those of the XL-1.
I also like the lcd display, of the VX2000. The interchangeable lenses for the XL-1 might be beyond my budget, so I'm not sure where the advantages would be.
If anyone could elaborate on this, it would be highly appreciated.
TIA

Go with the VX2000. You'll be glad you did.... Mine has given me great results so far with absolutely no problems whatsoever......

VX-2000 is absolutely amazing!
You will not believe and i say that again the quality of
night shooting of the VX.
The day shoots are easily better to older Beta's.

Why not a PD 150? -->Re: Consideration, VX-2000 or XL-1 [In reply to] Can't Post

If you are willing to buy an XL-1, why not look at the PD150?
Besides that I would at least try out a VX2000 before I went with it.
