: Hi, everyone, : I'm about to buy a DV camera for semi-professional use. My budget brings up the choice (I think) between the VX 2000 and the good old Canon XL-1. I've worked with VX 1000's a lot, and a little with the XL-1. I've had little experience with the VX-2000, but know it's features. : I like the XL-1, and it's image quality seems a little less noisy in certain situations than the VX1000. I would think since the VX2000 is basically a lot newer technology, that the quality of the CCD's might supersede those of the XL-1. : I also like the lcd display, of the VX2000. The interchangeable lenses for the XL-1 might be beyond my budget, so I'm not sure where the advantages would be. : If anyone could elaborate on this, it would be highly appreciated. : TIA : Barend Go with the VX2000. You'll be glad you did.... Mine has given me great results so far with absolutely no problems whatsoever...... aljo
