DVout damage on VX1000?	Can't Post

hello
so i wanted to get some set for setting dvin on my vx1000 off ebay. could it put any damage on the DVout when i set dvin free? i.e. could it happen that dvout won't work anymore?
the serial number of my vx1k is 440xx
