Dead Camera Can't Post

My VX1000 is dead. No signs of life. The back panel shows zip. I suspect it has blown whats called a "fusable link".
I have stripped it down several times in the past (for other ailments - its had a hard life)and was wondering if anyone knew where the fusable link is located?
I dont really want to pay a tech for what is essentially a blown fuse. Any ideas???
Pete
