Diopter Filters Can't Post

I need to buy some diopter lenses so that I can zoom in on small photos. I found them at photosolve.com for $35.00 (set of 3). I need to know some information about my vx-1000. What is: (1) the filter thread size on the front of my camera (2) the step ring size.

Re: Diopter Filters Can't Post

filter thread size= 52
step ring depends on what you are stepping up to.
So if you can find a 52mm then you don't need to step. If you can only find a 55mm then you need a 52mm-55mm step ring.

52mm diopters work best on the VX1000, because they fit
directly into the lens. You would be best to get the
"T" series of close-up lenses from Nikon, because 52mm
is one of their standard sizes. The "T" series lenses
are two element construction (achromats), so they deliver
superior image sharpness especially at wider apertures.
The usual inexpensive close up lenses, usually available
as sets, are one element lenses that give much less good
results. Note, the T lenses work best with telephoto
settings on your main lens.
