Dry mini dv tapes? Can't Post

Hi, I recently purchased a panasonic dvx100, I know that doesnt fall under this category of sony's, but my question may be relevant. While browsing some auctions on ebay I noticed a bunch of people kept mentioning the use of only "dry mini dv tapes". I was just curious as to what the difference is in those tapes, and if that is what I should be using once i receive the camcorder. Also, if I should use these tapes, which are good ones to use? thanks alot
Dustin

This refers to the lubrication method of the tapes. Generally there are wet and dry lubricants. It should not matter which you use, as long as you stay with the same type. Using wet then dry lubricants can gum up the tape mechanisms (and vice-versa). Pick one and stay with it.
