Editing question. Can't Post

I'm new to this website, but I thought maybe you guys can help a man here.......I want to get two sony GV-D300's and use them for linear editing (just your basic cut/assemble editing) how efficient are those players going to be. I read somewhere that the response time on the comtrols is kinda slow?? What should I be expecting from this kinda setup? Thanks,

Re: Editing question. Can't Post

If you are going to spend 2000 on some linear editing equipment why not just a computer to edit on for about the same price. you'll be able to do so much more too.
