Funky Viewfinder... ? Can't Post

Okay, I've read some similar posts and I realize it's probably the ribbon cable thing...
My viewfinder works fine when it is in it's locked position (in both camera & VTR), but as I start to lift it up (bring it toward 90 degrees) it cuts out and goes BLACK. I have to flip the dial too off, bring the viewfinder back down to it's locked position and flip the dial back on... and it works! ???
The camera works fine otherwise and I use a 5.6in LCD most of the time so it's not a big deal. But, I'd like to get it up and running the best I can because I'm looking to sell and upgrade to another camera...
ANY INTERESTED BUYERS? It'll be up for sale as soon as I finish my upcoming productions (about a month or two). I do plan on fixing any bugs first. I have lenses, filters, XRL-adapter too.
Also, anyone know where I can get another AC powerpack cheap? I'm opening to buying used.
Any advice and/or help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Bobby

Would you consider selling it at reduced cost before fixing any bugs?

Depends on how much you're offering? Like I said, the viewfinder still works
when in locked position just not at 90 degress. So, other than that the camera
works fine. I really like it, but feel it's time to upgrade. I will consider a
resonable offer. I have loads of extras too.
