Glidecam2k setting for my VX2k can anyone help Can't Post

I got a glidecam 2000 and I tried setting it up for my TRV20 and for my VX2000 but I can't seem to get it right. If anyone of you have done this and got it working well please let me know how. How many weights did you use and how long did you keep the lower shaft...

Hey Hank,

I'm having the same problem trying to balance the darn thing. Sony VX2000 on a Glidecam Pro 2000. I feel like I'm getting a workout and may need the assistance of a body pod or something? Did you get any responses? This forum is so confusing. I don't really know where to click to see the responses?

I need desparate help too.

Can you please forward and responses you've received to me? PLEASE, at www.ehilario@fenwick.com If I find out anything, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm still fiddling with the thing. I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago and I'm eager to master it.

Thanks

Eric

Better late than never..I just found this forum.

I've been using my VX2000 + NPF960 + Canon WD57 + lense hood on a Glidecam 2000 Pro for the past 3 years.
I also installed a 'quick-release' shoe on the Glidecam.

I use 5 weights in front and 5 weights in back. The lower part is inserted about 1 inch into the upper tube.

Works fine!
