Head or Drum Assy for VX1000, Xinde please help Can't Post

Dear Xinde or anyone who has ever diagnose inside the VX1000 head mechanism... My questions are:

when people mention about the recording head, do they mean the drum assy?

When i contact Sony Australia, they told me that they dont stock VX1000 NTSC part especially the head..but then when i ask them about the PAL drum assy, the part number they quote is A4900074A and that is for PAL system...
However, when i rang Sony Singapore, they told me that the drum assy for NTSC accrding to the service manual is A4900074A which is similar to the PAL version Sony Australia told me. One thing that sucks for me is that Sony Australia told me that the head for both system are different. Then why the part number is similar? My question is...is the drum assy for both system NTSC and PAL is actually similar? I have been looking around for some articles but couldnt get a proper answer... I know that a guy (xia xinde) who has a real feedbacks for VX1000 has operated and repaired any type of VX1000 include the NTSC, PAL and japanese version...Please advise. I start worry if my recording head start to worn out and cant even get a replacement anylonger here.

Thx,
TeQ

The drum for PAL and NTSC models are the same. Should run about $195.00 U.S. They're readily avalible.
