Holy cow im screwed! vx1000 help needed! Can't Post

ok so the buttons on my vx1000 broke but ive been useing my remote controll for awhile and it works fine untill.....i tried to print to tape from final cut pro. i dont know what the proper button codes are for recording in vtr mode with the remote. i know its record+play for the buttons, but either my remote is screwed or its another combo of keys to press. and i never got a user manuel because i bought it off ebay. If someone could look it up or if they know it i would be soooo grateful since i got a big video project which needs to get done real soon. THANKS!

Your NLE should have the command presets that will start the VTR recording. Does your print to tape require you actually prepare the VTR. I don't believe Premiere Pro requires any user intervention.

im pretty sure that for final cut pro you need to start it recording manualy, and there is no commands for that when you "print to video". by the way i have version 2 if that makes a difference. Someone else told me to use the controls of final cut, but maybe its just me and i cant figure it out. i guess its something i could investigate online, unlike finding a vx1000 users manual...

Hello, i use vx 1000 anda final cut pro and my vx 1000 flat cable is broken since 2000.
In this case, are two ways for recording. First: if you have one remote control (no the remote control of vx 1000) that have a rec butons and work in frequency VTR4 for sony models (is very dificult to find).
The next way is record directly of the final cut pro, using the device control. Select- export to tape- and make the in selection drag the project or the clip if you have record and press ok. Itīs easy.

Ok I do have a remote control for the vx1000 and it does have a switch at the top which has VTR4 selected, and when i press the big red button it does not make the camera record. and its batteries are working becaus i can play and rewind with the controller so thats not the problem... Now with my final cut pro 2 there is not option for export to tape, there is only print to video. and in the print to video screen there is no device control or anything that says record. I dont understand what you mean by "and make the in selection drag the project or the clip if you have record and press ok" but im guessing you have final cut 3 and export to tape is some new feature. Thanks for trying to help me guys but nothings working so far....

I have a Sony wired LANC remote RM-95 that will do exactly what you want. It will control any camera with a LANC jack. In the Camera mode it controls Zoom, Rec start and stop, power on-off, manual focus, edit search, and in the VTR mode it controls play, RR, FF, pause, slow, frame advance, and record and pause. I use final cut pro since the first version of the program, and i tell you thath the best and easy for export to tape. Maybe you donīt know configurate the device control of the final cut pro.
I make one list to you folow and enable the device control.
