I'm getting pixelation with colored squares??? Can't Post

Hi,

I use 3 cameras a PD150 and two VX2000's.
When I import my footage the same VX2000 camera has colored pixelation in the beginning of the footage and sometimes in the middle. Why is this happening?
Should I send the camera into sony and get it cleaned? I think sony charges 400 or 500 hundred when you send your camera in.
Do you guys send in your wedding cameras and get them cleaned?

Thanks in advance

I don't see this as a cleaning issue. There are some known problems with that mechanism that I've seen over the years. Most of the times, I've found that replacing the supply brake and the pinch roller, also a cleaning will take care of the problem. Run between 3-350, maybe less. Does it have a lot of hours on it? does that tape play okay in your other decks?

I don't think the VX2000's keep track of hours.
No, the tape does not play okay in other decks. I use my other VX2000 to import all my media.
Have you sent your camera to sony?

No. I repair them, not shoot with them: www.avisystems.com

Marco, I've had the same thing happen when I capture from "pause" in Vegas 6.0. I don't know if this would affect your capturing process in FCP, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Can you post a clip, or still for reference?
