Looking for a Hard Case Can't Post

I just recently purchased a new Sony VX2100. I've been searching for a Sony aluminum hard case to go with it and have had a difficult time. Amazon.com does not have them in stock. I tried to purchase from two other places...both advertised to have them in stock only to find out after ordering that they really did not have any.

Anyone out there know a good place I could get a case for my new VX2100 ?

Thanks,

I went to lowes and found some great hard cases with that pluck foam for around $30. Check out all the major hardware stores if you don't find them at lowes.

I found mine over by the tool boxes. If you have trouble finding them or they don't have them, here is a web link: http://www.lowes.com/...1-000010203-VGC-5200 . This looks like mine except mine came with diced foam. Let me know if you find them or not

Thanks for your help, I only found one, but it was too small. If I could find a bigger one it would be perfect.

I've been very happy with the Doskocil cases from markertek.com
They are like the very expensive Pelikan cases, but a fraction of the price.
You will need the larger size for the 2100

Took me two clicks to get there. Whatever.
You want the Ex-Large version.

I can't really get any of these because the shipping is outrageous. To hawaii, I'd be paying $60-80 for the case then $80 to ship it.

Oh I see. Then you need the local Hawaiian built version made of Kauai sugarcane?

Harbor Freight.com has an aluminum case 17.5 x 12.5 x 7.5 with a clamshell top like a pro camera case for 29.99. The styrofoam bottom liner from VX 2k packing fits exactly with plenty of room for everything you will ever need. Just use a piece of soft cloth between the styro and the cam. Once you buy one I know you'll buy more. I did. In case the link below fails the part is 36871-DVG. Picture says it all. http://www.harborfreight.com/...taf?itemnumber=36871

Corter123,

Looks like those Sony LCHVX2000 Hard Cases are still out of stock. Have you found one yet? I'm looking into getting a soft carrying case and may want to sell the Sony Hard Case that I have. The model is the LCHV8902 but I've been using it for my VX2000. It looks similar to the LCHVX2000. I'll put up pictures of it once I get back home.

Thanks,
Chris Q.

Try www.bhphoto.com

This is where I bought the case for my VX2100 and it's specifically made for the camera.

Model: Sony LCH-FXA Hard Case

I have an extra OEM Sony case. It's the one for the PD-170. It's in mint cond, and I paid 225 about 6 months ago.
That camera was stolen and I am not replacing it. Make an offer if you want it And yes, you get to pay the HI. shipping:)
