MIcs for PD150 Can't Post

Can you use the on board mike for overall sound, and also a wireless mike for vocals at the same time. Does the mike on the Pd150 get good ambient sound?
Thanks

Re: [X-Steven_D] MIcs for PD150 [In reply to] Can't Post

I have a PD 170 and I guess that they are alike in the sound manner.

If you shooting a singer I would suggest a large diaphragm microphone but that one will be in the picture. If you are mixing the ambient sound on the other channel I guess that you can use the OEM microphone but you might have to adjust the ambient track in the mix so you don't get phase cancellations.

Now I also read that using the ME 66 on a boom is good but I have no idea how that sounds like on vocal materiel.

If you are shooting a singer you might want to use a matched pair of microphones like the Rode NT 5s or the stereo model NT4. It all depends on the material.
