Next Camera to Buy- HDV? Can't Post

I'm at the point where I'm thinking of upgrading my camera and I am not sure whether to hold off until the HDV market matures or go for a nice new 24fps camera.(Panasonis AG100A) I know that Sony just introduced the HDR-FX1, but why the heck didn't they put XLR inputs in the thing? Also wondering when FCP will have HDV editing capacilties. No sense getting a HDV camera with lousy audio capabilties and no way to edit. Ideas? Opinions?

*childlike whimper* "Oh God, please not another HDV thread"
:-)
There has been a ton of flaming, err, discussion over at the Wedding forum on the subject of HDV and why/why not one should migrate to the format. Might want to check it out. Better sit down, it could take while. FYI, the SNR is low.

Because they put them on the pro version that costs more $$$.

Also wondering when FCP will have HDV editing capacilties.
Apple says "HDV Support Coming". It'll be via an intermediary codec:http://www.lumierehd.com,

Ideas? Opinions?

You can count on it.
