Panavision Deluxe Super Wide Lens Can't Post

Hello,
I bought a wide angle lens (2601Ti-PV Panavision Deluxe Super Wide) and I have 2 major problems with it:
1) It looks fish bowl, that is, I can see rounded edges when zoomed back as far as possible. This effect can be dampened by zooming in a little but it decreases the "wideness" of the shot. Well, I don't know if this is normal... After all, the zooming sort of counters the need to put on the lens in the first place!
2) There seems to be a copper coating over the lense. This gives an awful tinge to the footage. Not very good when I move from normal footage to a wide angle footage. Obviously the colours won't match up. Why is this coating there and how can I get rid of it?
If anyone has any experience with this, please email me back.
Vieng.
